Inferring and Predicting
Readers infer when they put clues together from the text and what they already know about a topic. For example; if you see a person with an umbrella and a raincoat, you can infer that they have listened to the weather report and it may rain. Sometimes authors leave out the obvious and we have to infer what is happening. Check out these videos, can you infer what is going to happen?
